HIPAA Compliance
Our Commitment to Patient Privacy
We take the privacy and security of patient information seriously. As a healthcare consulting and infrastructure company working with clinics, pharmacies, and medical practitioners, we are committed to full compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and all applicable state privacy laws.
What Is HIPAA? HIPAA is a federal law that establishes national standards for the protection of sensitive patient health information. It applies to covered entities — including healthcare providers, health plans, and healthcare clearinghouses — as well as their business associates.
How We Uphold HIPAA Standards
Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) We execute Business Associate Agreements with all applicable clinic and pharmacy partners before any protected health information (PHI) is accessed, processed, or transmitted. No partnership moves forward without proper BAA documentation in place.
Minimum Necessary Standard We only access, use, or disclose the minimum amount of PHI necessary to fulfill our consulting and operational services. Our team is trained to apply this standard in every workflow.
Data Security Safeguards We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect PHI from unauthorized access, disclosure, or breach, including encrypted communications, access controls, and secure data storage practices.
Staff Training All team members who handle or may come into contact with PHI receive HIPAA training upon onboarding and on an ongoing basis. Training covers privacy rules, security rules, and breach notification requirements.
Breach Notification Protocol In the event of a suspected or confirmed breach of PHI, we follow HIPAA's Breach Notification Rule — notifying affected individuals, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and, where applicable, the media — within the required timeframes.
Patient Rights We support the rights of patients under HIPAA, including the right to access their health records, request corrections, and receive an accounting of disclosures.
For Clinic and Pharmacy Partners If you are a clinic or pharmacy partnering with us, a Business Associate Agreement is required prior to engagement. Please contact our compliance team to initiate the BAA process.
